In these days of global warming you cannot expect that the customer base to be fine enough throughout unless your bistro tables are covered with outdoor umbrellas. These umbrellas make your customers safe and comfort, because these umbrellas will make the customers cool and to enjoy the outdoor and also save them from the direct rays of the sun that according to many cause cancer. For most of us will not think about the UV rays we only consider about keeping us cool since we can feel the scorching heat but not the deadly effect of the UV rays on our skin. But maybe some of your customers are conscious about it.
If you don’t have any thought of increasing your customer base but if you are very conscious about maintaining your customer base then you can go ahead and buy outdoor umbrellas. Make sure that you buy commercial grade umbrellas since general outdoor umbrellas will not provide safety as like commercial outdoor umbrellas. The mechanism in commercial umbrellas makes the handling and storage very easier, but the umbrellas have more chance to collapse and break.
So what the commercial umbrellas do not have any cranks or pulleys and they neither tilt nor rotate. The poles of commercial umbrellas are made up of one solid piece while the others poles are made up of two distinct pieces which are joined together. Generally the umbrella ribs are made up of fiberglass because such a material can withstand the force of wind much better than the others can. It has proved in an experiment conducted in Miami University that fiberglass ribs absorb the wind rather than fight it, they last four to five times longer.
You need to check for the umbrella fabric too since there are many varieties available like thinner and thicker. But you need to look for the qualities of the fabric like:
1. Is the fabric gives aesthetic pleasant atmosphere?
2. It should not fade at any cost.
3. It should be UV resistant to keep away the heat and the cancer causing Ultra Violet rays.
4. It should be water resistant to save the customers from the heat and also from light precipitations
Aesthetic value is one important factor that you cannot relay neglect. The whole set up has to be aesthetically pleasant or you will never have enough customers to run your place profitably. If your bistro chairs need cushions, make sure their color blends not only with the umbrella, but also with the whole surrounding. Also, know that only a patio cushion is made for outdoor use and so while you are looking for the right cushion for your bistro chairs look for patio cushions only.
A patio cushion is made up of water repellent materials and not of waterproof materials. If patio cushion gets wet we need to dry that so it is best of only for 95 , but this material will not take long time to dry. And also these cushions are resistant of dust, dirt, stain and tear so they don’t want to be washed frequently. Therefore you can always go with patio cushions. They are available in market with various shapes, sizes and colors and so you will not find difficult to choose a better one that suits your décor.
Another essential fixture that you should have in your outdoor setup is outdoor heater and there are various kinds of it available such as the heater with higher BTU and the with lower BTU, suppose if you select the heater with higher BTU, then it will be able to keep your customers warm and snug within a diameter of 20’. If you choose the one with lower BTU then the heater can raise the temperature by 15/20 degree within a diameter of 7’. Experts suggest for a patio electric heater for commercial space since if you have that properly earthed nothing is safer than this.
The heating capacity of your heater is termed as BTU. The higher BTU is nothing but how much area the heater can be able to make warm. So always you need to look at the area space of your shop and then you need to decide what patio electric heater you need to select. There are both types of heater available that is both which can be fixed and also which can be moved. Patio electric heaters are generally mounted on walls, ceilings or even on the floor. Some are freestanding, but that too has limited mobility because it can go only where there is an electric outlet. So you need to consider all the things and decide what type of heater suits you.
