The common cold or acute viral throat infection is usually an irritation of the respiratory tract in the upper body. It is mainly caused by the infection and usual cold viruses. Why it is named as common cold because this disease occur very frequently among people in twelve months. This particular cold goes on till ten days.

Causes of Common Cold:

The first stage of common cold mainly includes the pain in the throat and blockage in the nasal passageway. Usually this ailment start from throat and nose but it badly affects the whole parts of the body. The initial causes of common cold are rising body temperature, running nose, felling extreme coldness, pain in throat and body pain. The area around the nose becomes painful and red.

The main cause of the catching the common cold is frequent contact with viral or virus. The intensity to catching common clod mainly depends upon the person’s immune system and numerous surrounding issues present in the atmosphere.

Apart from this there are other factors related to common cold such as low immunity system to fight diseases, recurrent contact with cold conditions, inactiveness or tiredness, allergic to dust, air, temperature.

Natural Home Remedies for Curing Common Cold:

Tamarind and Pepper: To cure common cold it is recommended that the diluted soup named as rasam should be made using tamarind and pepper and consumed thrice every day to have instant relief.

Ginger: To cure cold it has been advised that a piece of ginger weighing around ten grams need to be coarsely cut and boiled with one cup of water. After that this mixture is needed to be strained and add one tsp. sugar to it and consume it hot two times a day to have quick relief.

Lemon: Lemon, being enriched with vitamin C increases the body’s immunity to fight diseases and toxicity. To overcome common cold it is advised that the juice of lemon mixed with warm water along with a teaspoon of honey should be taken nearly two times every day.

Garlic: It is advised that if you are suffering from acute common cold then take garlic soup one time day. Garlic being antispasmodic in nature cleanses the chocked respiratory tract.

Lady’s Finger: It is found lady’s finger enriched with mucilage helps in curing swelling, irritation and pain in the body. It is advised that 150 gms of lady’s finger should be chopped and boiled in half litre water. And this water steam should be inhaled two times ever day to get quick relief from cough and cold.

Bitter Gourd Roots: To cure common cold it is recommended that one teaspoon of bitter gourd root paste duly mixed with honey and the juice of tulsi leaf should be taken one time in night nearly for 12 months to fight the various symptoms of common cold and cough.

Turmeric: For curing the common factors of cold and cough it is advised that a half teaspoon of fresh turmeric powder duly nixed with lukewarm milk should be consumed two times every day.

Dietary Recommendations for Common Cold:

When the person is suffering from chronic signs of common cold along and feels feverish, during that time he or she should avoid eating all the spicy, solid or oily foods. The patient should prefer consuming vegetable juices, fruits and water. One he or she gets relieved from the chronic stage then he or she should start following the routine nutritional dietary plan.

Thus, we may conclude that curing common cold is all that easy with the above available natural home remedies.
